Stop Bullying! Virtual Run, Walk and Roll
Beginning September 9th through October 9th Text 2 Stop It! will host a Virtual Run, Walk and Roll to raise money for the Text 2 Stop It! text helpline, as well as school anti-bullying and youth mental health programs. This event is held each year during National Suicide Prevention Month (September) and National Stop Bullying Month (October). We would like to offer your organization the opportunity to be a sponsor for this year’s event.
Text 2 Stop It! is a 501 c3 organization that provides a free 24/7 two-way texting helpline for kids experiencing bullying, depression, suicidal thoughts, drugs, and other unhealthy activities. We provide volunteers, trained in Youth Mental Health to help kids get help for bullying and other harmful activities. The program is free to schools and youth organizations and solely funded through donations, grants, and events like this virtual Run, Walk and Roll.
Since 2013, Text 2 Stop It!, has been working and saving the lives of our kids. This is being done through our two-way anonymous texting program which allows students to report harmful activities in their schools. Why text? Texting is the form of communication youth feel most comfortable with and Text 2 Stop It! fits into their comfort zone. It is the only two-way anonymous texting helpline dedicated to improving the lives of and protecting our kids. Our success has been covered by several news outlets and were recently featured on the Fox 45 News show Project Baltimore. The program works because students want safe schools and are protected through the anonymous reporting of issues by text, versus filling out a multi-page bullying form that asks for your name, which could result in them being labelled a “snitch” or worse.
Please consider joining us as a Corporate School Safety Partner and show your support for safe schools. Together we will make our schools safe and save even more lives.
